Traditional Thai Massage

with Jérôme Thuret

Body relaxation and energy realignment

Nuad Boran, the traditional Thai massage, was forged in the context of Thailand's many cultural exchanges, notably with India and China. Thai massage therefore has close links with yoga, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.
It is practiced on the floor, on a mattress, dressed in soft clothing. The main techniques used by the therapist are stretching, work on energy lines and the use of pressure points.
The benefits of Thai massage are numerous. These include improved blood circulation, muscular efficiency, tendon elasticity, muscle and tendon relaxation, improved nervous system activity, stress relief, etc.

who is this treatment for?

Thai massage is for people:

  • physical pain (muscular, joint, tendon...)

  • in preparation for and/or following a sporting event

  • in times of stress

  • feeling little connected to their bodies

  • in times of acute fatigue

Thai massage is intended to be therapeutic. It can feel intense, and strong pressure can be used.

One session

From 1h to 1h15

On arrival, you are warmly welcomed by your therapist. A moment is taken to make yourself comfortable, introduce you to the massage and answer your first questions.

Before you begin, there's time for you to express your needs, expectations and any tensions you may be feeling. This helps the therapist to adapt the session to your current physical and emotional state.

The massage takes place on the floor on a massage mat. For around an hour, the therapist uses pressure, stretching and acupressure points to release tension, circulate energy and revitalize the whole body.

After the massage, there's time for a gentle return to the present moment. You can share your feelings with the therapist, ask questions or simply savor the effects of the treatment before leaving.

Jérôme

Thai Masseur

It was through the practice of martial arts that Jérôme began to nourish his curiosity about the workings of the human body. Little by little, he naturally became interested in manual care. After obtaining a diploma in therapeutic massage in Chinese medicine (TuiNa), he went to Thailand to take a course in traditional Thai massage in Chiang Mai, immersing himself in Thai culture. He has since returned to continue his apprenticeship with his teachers.
